Abstract
Energy conservation is a hot topic in subway systems in recent years. Trains’ traction energy consumption takes a great proportion of total energy consumption. To reduce it, this paper proposes an integrated optimization problem, which simultaneously optimizes the speed profile and running time at each subway inter-station. A mathematical model is formulated, and to solve it, an Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm is designed. Numerical examples based on the actual data from a subway system are simulated to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.
