Abstract

Nowadays, the management of electrical power systems includes a wide selection of computational programs to solve a broad range of planning and operation matters. However, the diverse nature of the problems sometimes is an obstacle to integrate planning, operation and commercial functions, since that computational software and data structure used to be separated. This paper presents a proposal for an integrated computational environment to support management and analysis of electrical energy systems, called EESM (electrical energy system management) or GSEE (which is a anachronism in Portuguese for Gerenciamento de Sistemas de Energia Eletrica). This approach has been use to design and implementation of computational system in the electrical energy system group of PUCRS.
