Abstract
1. 1. A solid state electrometer-amplifier was constructed that permits the detection and measurement of most bioelectric potentials. 2. 2. It can be used as a resistance sensor to detect very small mechanical movements occurring in a group of muscles or in a single muscle fiber. 3. 3. This device can be easily built in any laboratory for less than $100 (£40).
