Abstract

An incremental model based deadbeat predictive current control (IDPCC) method for permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) is proposed in this paper. The influence of parameter mismatches on the performance of IDPCC is analytically investigated. The IDPCC method can achieve zero steady-state error even when parameter mismatches exist. However, the IDPCC method is very sensitive to inductance mismatch. In order to enhance the robustness of control system, a robust incremental model based deadbeat predictive current control (R-IDPCC) method is proposed. The R-IDPCC method has the merits in terms of the wider stable operation range and zero steady-state error under parameter mismatches with the penalty of the slower dynamic response. Finally, a hybrid robust incremental model based deadbeat predictive current control (HR-IDPCC) method is proposed. The simulation results verified the fast dynamic response and zero steady-state error of the HR-IDPCC method.
