Abstract

In this paper an incoherent optical system is described to make a “spectrogram” of a 1-D intensity distribution. In order to obtain the “spectrogram”, a number of gratings are positioned into contact with the 1-D object function in the input plane of the optical system. At the output of the optical processor a camera picks up the image, which the camera (electrical) signal is filtered, top-detected and fed into a display, showing the “spectrogram”. At the end of the paper some experimental results will be shown.
