Abstract

Laboratory emissivity measurement system is mostly based on Large-scale precision instrument, such as Fourier Transform Spectrometer. Field emissivity measurement requirement in harsh environments can not be met such as strong vibrations and oil stains. In this work, an in situ online measurement system based on a wide band infrared sensor, a specially designed collimation tube, and a reference blackbody is introduced. By studying the effective aperture, dynamic response characteristics, optical channel and other factors of the sensor, a complete emissivity calculation model is established. At the same time, a new blackbody equivalent verification is proposed to ensure the accuracy of the system and increase the number of samples whose emissivity varies from 0.2 to 0.8. Three types of samples and blackbody equivalent samples are used as the reference to test the measurement facility, and the error is estimated within 0.05 in the temperature range of 100–500 °C.
