Abstract
A new application of conductometry based on multi-channel series piezoelectric quartz crystal (MSPQC) is described for quantification of the bacteria population and the antibiotic effect. The result of MSPQC system showed a good linear relation ( r=−0.9885) between the frequency detection time (FDT) and its initial concentration of Escherichia coli, and the antibiotic that effected on the metabolism activity of E. coli had a significant variation of slope as a quantification index.
