Abstract

The Q-problem of radiative equilibrium is solved by employing quadrature methods once the singularity of the integral equation's kernel is removed by the use of Loyalka's method. Numerical results are then obtained by the solution of a set of linear algebraic equations. Improved accuracy can be obtained by high quadrature orders or by extrapolation of lower order results.
