Abstract

In passive millimeter wave imaging, the image gets low resolution for the limitation of the antenna aperture. It is necessary to improve the quality of the image in the way of signal processing. This paper puts forward an improved regularization-based method for the reconstruction of the passive millimeter wave image sequences. First of all, this method utilizes an improved Laplacian operator to represent the prior information of the image. Then it enlarges the image in the way of partial differential equations and reconstructs to get high resolution image in the end. The proposed algorithm can improve the image resolution effectively while it preserves the edges of the image. The experiment completed with simulated image as well as actual passive millimeter-wave image in 91.5 GHz demonstrate the effectiveness and the feasibility of the algorithm.
