Abstract

Antialiasing of the image is an important part of 3D render. In the paper, we review some antialiasing algorithms previously and propose an improved morphological antialiasing algorithm. This algorithm improves the overall efficiency of the antialiasing of image by parallel processing the horizontal and vertical directions of each channel of the image, besides, this algorithm reduces the occupation of system resources by scaling the area texture used to store the blend weights. At last, we use FPGA to implement the algorithm and draw a conclusion: compared with previous algorithm, this algorithm can achieve better antialiasing effect with less system resoucres and reduce the time cost.
