Abstract

A remarkably improved method of determination of total hydroxyproline in urine is proposed. It assures elimination of interfering chromogens or color inhibitors. By adequately controlling pertinent variables, excellent color stability and shortened hydrolysis period are achieved. The proposed method is simple, rapid, yet analytically accurate. It is possible to analyze a large number of samples during an 8-hour working day. The method would be ideal for routine applications.
