Abstract

Abstract : For rapid identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by means of pyocyanin production, a medium has been devised containing 2 percent neopeptone, 1 percent sodium citrate, 1 percent glycerol, and 2 percent agar. With 20 stock strains and 66 primary clinical isolates, this medium APPEARED SUPERIOR TO MEDIA PREVIOUSLY EMPLOYED.
