Abstract

An equivalent circuit model of the spoof surface plasmon (SSP) transmission line is proposed in this paper. The closed-form formulas of the dispersion relationship and the characteristic impedance of the SSP transmission line are derived for the first time. Through numerical examples, the comparisons in terms of the dispersion curves, the transmission and reflection characters show a good agreement between the equivalent circuit and the 3D full wave simulation. This work also shows better accuracy than previously reported work.
