Abstract

In order to reduce the backflow power of the dual active bridge DC-DC(DAB) converter, the relationship between backflow power versus transmission power, voltage conversion ratio is derived by mathematical analysis of dual active bridge DC-DC bridge and an improved dual phase shift(DPS) control strategy for dual active bridge DC-DC converter with soft switching is proposed. The control strategy is segmented based on the capacity of transmission power, and the optimal shift angle in every range is obtained. The simulation is carried on under MATLAB/Simulink and results show that, the proposed control strategy can reduce backflow power greatly compared to traditional single phase shift(SPS). It also can achieve zero backflow power in a certain range of transmission power.
