Abstract
The power grid is a huge system, safe and stable operation of the power system requires a large number of online monitoring devices and wireless sensors to obtain the operating status of the power grid in real time. However, these monitoring devices are difficult to be supplied continuously, which has been restricting the development of online monitoring technology. This paper proposes a method of magnetic field energy harvesting by current transformer to provide stable voltage and power under a wide range of current changes in transmission line. This proposed method can track the max power point and provide max energy supply even under low transmission current condition, and can avoid abnormal energy supply due to saturation of transformer cores under high current condition.
