Abstract
This paper gives an improved binomial distribution with parameters m and p to approximate the hypergeometric distribution with parameters N, m and n, where = n N p and m < n. It is more accurate than the binomial approximation when N is large. Mathematics Subject Classification: 62E17, 60F05
