Abstract
Precision attachments such as the Dalbo attachment (Cendres & Métaux SA, Biel-Bienne, Switzerland) soldered to a post and core, significantly enhance the retention of removable partial dentures.1 Their use eliminates the need for visible retentive and support components, especially in esthetic areas.2 Optimal positioning of the attachment should be in harmony with the path of insertion of the planned prosthesis.2 An impression technique that facilitates optimal location of the attachment is described.
