Abstract

Phased-mission system (PMS) usually has the characteristic of high complexity and integration and operates under a complex condition, so system reliability plays an important role during its mission. The common cause failure (CCF) in system which can destroy the hypothesis that the failures are independent, especially in the PMS. Based on their impacts on the components, CCFs can be classified into two types, i.e. deterministic common cause failures (DCCFs) and probabilistic common cause failures (PCCFs). The current PMS_PCCF researches have not yet considered the dynamic characteristics of PMSs, as well as the effects of s-dependent CCs on PMS. Therefore, in this paper the author put forward an improved implicit method to make a comprehensive analysis of the influence of PCCF on PMS. The method can handle all kinds of statistical relationships amongst CCs, there are s-independent, s-dependent and mutually exclusive. Furthermore, Dynamic logic is introduced to enable system research closer to the actual situation, the calculation results more reliable and realistic.
