Abstract

As use of Internet is growing day by day for sharing huge volume of data among each other, it is necessary to protect this data and its originality. Data can be multimedia contents like photographs, digital music, or digital video which can be protected from illegal access and redistribution by hiding authentication information. The process of providing copyright protection for intellectual property that's in digital format is called as watermarking. This process assures to content providers that contents cannot be shared illegally, In this paper digital watermarking technique is proposed; Wavelet based Contourlet Transform (WBCT) along with Non-negative Matrix factorization (NMF). WBCT is applied on luminance part that is Y component of video frame. This eliminates drawbacks of Contourlet Transform which cannot identify smooth curves in images. NMF is used to address problem of negative components present in Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Sparseness of matrices of NMF decrease growth of operations performed on zero elements. The experimental results show that proposed algorithm for video watermarking improves performance against different attacks and preserves perceptual quality of video.
