Abstract

An image encryption algorithm of bit-plane based on hyper-chaotic system is proposed in this paper. The plain-image is decomposed into bit-planes according to the pixel bits. Then the relevant information which is extracted from each bit-plane is loaded into the hyper-chaotic system to obtain the initial key. High four bit-planes is separated and disrupted according to the binary key sequence which disrupts the distribution of the original bit-planes. The high and low four bit-planes are encrypted adaptively to get the cipher-text. Experiments are carried out, and the security of the proposed encryption algorithm is analyzed. The results show that this scheme has large key space and good encryption efiect, and is capable of resisting against various attacks.
