Abstract
This paper describes the architecture of an object-oriented and open intelligent decision support system (IDSS) development environment (IDSS DE), in which parts of the IDSS system can be integrated consistently. A consistent objectoriented representation language, Knonit, is proposed. Its concept, grammar, execution and other major characteristics are discussed as well.
