Let G be a subgoup of Sn .If χ is a character on G, then where A=(aij) is an n-square matrix. Let heG. Let C(h) be the conjugacy class to which h belongs. Let c(h) be the order of C(h). The principal result is where the second summation is over the irreducible characters χ of G.
