An honour and a privilege

Abstract

In his Presidential Address delivered at the 28th Biennial Congress of the Association of Surgeons of South Africa, East London, South Africa, on 14 March 2013, the author thanks members of the Association of Surgeons of South Africa for the honour of serving them as President during the past two years. He goes on to discuss two important matters, the membership situation of the Association and the current state of Remuneration for Work Outside the Public Service (RWOPS).
