Abstract

ABSTRACT While existing research has examined academic success and resiliency among Black college students, more attention should be given to explore flourishing and psychological well-being amidst a pandemic. The pandemic period also encompassed racial unrest that directly affected students. The concept of flourishing and psychological well-being of Black college students during a pandemic was explored. Data from the 2021 Healthy Minds Study conducted at an HBCU were reviewed to include variables associated with Diener et al. (2009) flourishing scale. Positive psychological well-being during a pandemic findings and implications will be discussed.
