Abstract

Performing surgery and other procedures can be very challenging with limited exposure of the skin lesion, which can often occur between the intergluteal folds (Fig 1, A), between the toes (Supplementary Fig 1, A available via Mendeley at https://data.mendeley.com/datasets/m27wdz7fzg/1), and at the postauricular area (Supplementary Fig 2, A). Methods to expose the skin include using leg holders, ideal positioning of the patient, and physical maneuvers accomplished by an assistant. However, in areas where medical resources and personnel are limited, a single physician may have to perform the procedure without any assistance.
