Abstract
The high-throughput satellite (HTS) adopts multi-spot beam technology, which enables the satellite design process to be featured by a large number of antenna horns, large-scale arrays, heavy support structures, and complex interfaces with the transponder. To solve the layout problem of complex payloads of high-throughput satellites, this paper proposes a configuration design scheme for the satellite expansion module. With the configuration design optimization of the high-throughput satellite payload module of the DFH-4E platform serving as an example, the mechanical analysis software PATRAN was used for modeling and mechanical analysis, and the configuration was optimized according to the analysis results. The optimization results show that the configuration design scheme of the expansion module is adopted to solve the layout requirements of high-throughput payloads effectively. The relevant indicators will meet the requirements of the system. And the design scheme is reasonable and feasible, which can provide a reference for the configuration design of high-throughput satellites.
