Abstract
This study proposes an extended 2-tuple fuzzy time series forecasting model. The 2-tuple linguistic representation was first proposed by Herrera and Martínez [9], and was mainly applied to computing with words, decision making and decision analysis problems. We extend the 2-tuple concept to the fuzzy time series and introduce an extended 2-tuple fuzzy logical relationship. With the extended 2-tuple fuzzy logical relationship, the extended 2-tuple fuzzy time series forecasting model can be established. Finally, this study applies the extended 2-tuple fuzzy time series to forecast Taiwan's outbound travelers.
