Abstract
Massive Open Online Courses, or MOOCs as they are called, have been a hot topic in higher education in the last couple of years. Yet, while MOOCs have received considerable attention in the popular media, little attention has been paid to them in academic journals, especially in hospitality and tourism. Therefore, this paper explored hospitality and tourism educators’ knowledge, use, and perceptions of MOOCs, particularly in hospitality and tourism education. Insights and implications of the uses of MOOCs in hospitality and tourism were provided.
