Abstract
1. On the basis of the theory of dimensionalities, a system of four dimensionless complexes has been constructed. It describes the formation of ejection craters by explosions of horizontal cylindrical charges of a finite length in homogeneous and two-layer rock structures. 2. Functional relations have been formulated on the basis of experimental data for the parameters of the ejection crater (width, depth, length, and volume) as a function of dimensionless complexes constructed. 3. The correlation between throw-out crater parameters and the parameters of the charge and its placement in a homogeneous half-space and a two-layer rock structure and the properties of the rock in the overburden and in the half-space after in situ studies could be utilized for predicting the results of an explosion and for calculating the blasting operation parameters.
