Abstract

This paper discusses an ejector cycle refrigeration machine that can use a wide range of refrigerants including halocarbons. The feature of such a system is the possibility of using a low grade heat source such as solar energy and waste heat to operate the system. A theoretical analysis was carried out to select a suitable refrigerant for the system. The influence of boiler, condenser and evaporator temperatures on system heat transfer is investigated experimentally under different operating conditions. The experimental machine uses R113 as a working refrigerant.
