Abstract

An experimental bistatic radar receiving system is described, together with some results from recent trials. The receiving system consists of a passive phased array antenna, digital beamformer, dataflow signal processor and graphics display systems which provide a non-distorted plan view of the radar coverage. Experimentally recorded examples of the output of this radar are presented and show sequences of target movements over the southern part of England.
