Abstract

Power factor correction (PFC) is a way of negotiating the annoying possessions of electric loads that craft a power factor lesser than one. Power factor correction may be applied by an electrical power transmission utility to enhance the efficiency of transmission network. Low power factor is ordinarily not an immense difficulty for housing loads, becomes a problem in industries where several motors are paralleled operated for multiple functions. Hence, in industries the correction of power factor has become awful necessity. Major task of our research work is to rectify the issue and provide a fruitful solution. Though there are various means available for correction of power factor with certain pros and cons. Generally, PFC Capacitors are employed to unravel the problems using pacific methods and in some way active techniques as well. Each method has its own drawback in terms of it employment cost and computational intricacy. In the proposed technique, the PLC for the PFC is employed.
