Abstract

1. (1) An experiment in mosquito control in a small tropical island is described. The method involved the dispersal of dieldrin by Swingfog machine in houses and open country-side. 2. (2) A high degree of mosquito control was achieved at a cost including labour of less than 4d. per acre per week. 3. (3) The potential value of fogging in public health practice and indications for its use are discussed. 4. (4) Experiments are in hand to place the method on a more scientific basis, and details will be published at a later date.
