Abstract

This study aims to determine the methodical tendencies of postgraduate theses related to the education of gifted students published in the field of science education in Turkey. In the study, theses published in YÖK (Higher Education Institution) National Thesis Center between 2015 and 2022, which are available for access have been analyzed. 56 postgraduate studies were included in the analysis. As a data collection tool, the “methodical trend analysis form” developed by the researchers within the scope of the research was used. The data collected through the form were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and presented with frequency tables. According to the research findings, the majority of the studies are graduate theses, and most publications were made in 2019. The university that has the most postgraduate studies in the field of science education is the University of İnönü. While the qualitative method is preferred in almost half of the studies, the most preferred pattern is a case study.
