(Poaceae). ‐ Taxon 41: 737‐743. 1992. ‐ ISSN 0040‐0262.The type specimen of ×Dupontopoa dezhnevii Prob, was examined. It is composed of 3 discordant elements, none of which would seem to be a hybrid resulting from the proposed parentage. The name is lectotypified on an element identified as Poa eminens. Taxonomic and nomenclatural implications of the observations are discussed. The synonymy for P. eminens is given.
