Abstract

The Kac-Moody generators are explicitly realized as functional differential operators expressed in terms of the coordinates of the (infinite-dimensional) group manifold. As an application of this realization, the two-dimensional Wess-Zumino chiral action is derived from the hamiltonian formulation.
