Abstract

AbstractComplex scenes and fast movement of objects can lead to information redundancy and motion blur in camera images, causing low speed and failure of visual measurement algorithms. Event cameras are bio-inspired cameras that captures the change of light intensity, and has low delay and less motion blur. A new method to angle measurement for an inverted pendulum is proposed using event frames from event cameras. By using appropriate event frame reconstruction algorithm and angle measurement algorithm, the system can quickly complete the angle measurement of the pendulum rod, and the system remains effective when it moves fast.KeywordsEvent cameraEvent frameAngle measurement
