An evaluation research of the effect of Hangzhou Metro Line 1 after applying the PPP model a comparative analysis with Beijing Metro Line 4

Abstract

Beijing Metro Line 4 was the first metro line in China's orbit traffic industry to be built under the PPP project financing model. Hangzhou Metro Line 1 copied and borrowed the former's model. But Hangzhou Metro Line 1 has been in the red for a long time, and even became the only defective metro line in the four affiliated orbit traffic companies to MTR Corporation Limited in 2014. Given the situation, this paper adopts the comparison method, and collects concurrent data on Beijing Metro Line 4 and Hangzhou Metro Line 1 before making a comprehensive evaluation of the data from different angles and an in-depth analysis of the reasons for such result.
