Spelling instruction is given by English teachers as a part of the regular work in English all through high school; by commercial teachers as a standard part of various commercial courses; and by teachers of other subjects who either co-operate with the English teacher by reporting misspelled words or require their students to give special attention to the spelling of important words in their respective subjects.2
