Abstract
AbstractEnvironmental impact assessment (EIA) is a systematically construction technique that is considered to be an experienced method influenced by the causes of the environmental impact. Although the area is the part of the Eastern Ghats Mountain, it is considered to be one of the affected areas in terms of anthropogenetic and natural activity. The region is seriously affected by geo-environmental and physic-climatic extremeness. The main features of the landforms of the vicinity are undulating plateau type landforms, gneiss type igneous rocks, and sandy type soil. Environmental impact assessment in the area is done by visualization with the use of geographical information system (GIS) and remote sensing. The subject has been well defined with the facilities of different types of multi-data (raster data, vector data, visual observation data) which also identifies the environmentally vulnerable places. The most important natural processes in the region are environmental gully erosion which is depended on heavy rainfall, massive run off, exclusive slope gradient, maximum deforestation, human activity, rock disintegration, and decomposition. Soil erosion models (such as RUSLE) use mathematical expressions of the relationships among various factors and landscape. The high-risk environmental erosion areas are especially identified with the help of geospatial technology and modeling method.KeywordsEnvironmental impact assessmentGISSoil erosionRainfallLandforms
