Abstract

Aiming to improve stability performance of bidirectional interlinking converter (BIC) in a hybrid AC/DC microgrid, this paper proposes an improved normalization method for power control mode. Furthermore, stability analysis of a hybrid AC/DC microgrid in power control mode is performed by the developed state-space model. Besides, BIC is supposed to regulate bus voltages when the distributed generators (DGs) fail to support bus voltage in the subgrid. In this paper, the synchronverter with power reference generator is utilized for AC voltage control mode to achieve restoration of AC frequency and voltage amplitude. A hybrid AC/DC microgrid is considered in the simulation and results are provided to verify the proposed control strategies.
