Abstract

Based on the statistical data of Shenzhen from 2000-2021, the article empirically tests the impact of human capital on the quality of urban development in Shenzhen. It is found that :(1) the former is larger than the latter in the growth rate of human capital and urban development level, and the two have a long-term equilibrium cointegration relationship; (2) there is a significant correlation between the level of human capital and urban development level, and human capital can significantly improve the quality of urban development. Human capital can further promote high-quality urban development by promoting sustainable development of urban economy, urban society and urban ecology, which can provide useful reference for other cities to give full play to the benefits of human capital to promote high-quality urban development.
