Abstract

In this study, we propose a method to determine the effective logistics structure of agricultural export logistics in Korea. The theory used to analyze this is the transaction cost theory which suggests the cause of increase and decrease of transaction cost between the agri-food export organization and the logistics company present an efficient logistics plan to solve it. Results indicate that asset specificity, number of traders, frequency of transactions, and product characteristics of agricultural products export logistics are highly influenced by the relationship of opportunity of logistics companies. In the relationship between market trading and internalization, which is the final transaction type of logistics, if the opportunism of the logistics company changes, the contracting or outsourcing with the logistics specialist company through the market transaction rather than the internalization of the logistics structure of the export organization Respectively. Thus, it is suggested and desirable to carry out export logistics activities through the market transaction method as a source of new competitiveness besides pioneering export market and product development.
