Abstract

Under the background of economic new normal, sports industry has increasingly highlighted its pillar function to the economy. Further study of the relationship between sports industry agglomeration and economic growth can not only promote the high-quality development of sports industry, but also play a driving role of sports industry to economy. Based on this, this paper uses data from 2003 to 2019 to quantitatively analyze the impact of sports industry agglomeration on economic growth in China. Through empirical analysis, it is found that:(1) The degree of industrial agglomeration is positively correlated with China’s economic growth, and the effect is significant;(2) State-owned assets and foreign direct investment can promote the rapid development of sports facilities to a certain extent, so as to achieve the agglomeration effect of sports industry and further promote China’s economic development;(3) There is a significant non-linear relationship between industrial agglomeration and economic growth, presenting “U” type feature.
