Abstract

An analysis of the relationship between information technology (IT) adoption and usage in Indian banking and software firms reveals the impact of IT in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. The findings of a study of 125 service firms suggest that IT usage has a positive linear relationship with organizational performance, and that organizational performance has a positive correlation with such factors as staff attitude toward IT usage. In addition, tenure of IT adoption and utility of IT contributes significantly toward enhanced service performance. ©2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
