Abstract

With the development of information technology into a new era, it was put forward in the national education reform and development of medium and long-term plan to strengthen the development of education informatization and to promote further integration of information technology and teaching. Under such background, this study explores the future possibility of blended learning in primary school by interviewing students and teachers to know more about their intention with the new learning and teaching mode. This possible blended pedagogical approach, refers to “online+ offline” approach, which relies much on the internet as an aid and complement, as well as challenge to traditional classroom teaching. It combines after-class online learning and in-class offline teaching with different emphasis of teaching objectives. It was also investigated in this study students' satisfaction and acceptance of the current English course, as well as a quantitative evaluation of the course effect. Basing on the result analysis of the questionnaire and interview, it was found that students were generally satisfied with the current course which had an apparent emphasis on the training English listening and speaking skills. Most of students accepted the current course, but they also look forward to the blended approach of language learning.
