Abstract

The present study has tried to estimate the green growth of industrial sector and manufacturing sector of India. The study has used time series data from 1991 to 2015. The data have checked for stationarity and then transformed the data to their respective order of integration. It has found from the study that the Indian industrial income is relatively green, clean and eco-efficient. The growth of Indian manufacturing income is relatively green, clean but not efficient. Accordingly, the green growth process has been started in India with energy efficiency and use of clean and renewable energy sources. However, the process of green growth is not absolute and significant. Hence, Indian industry needs to go a long way to achieve absolute green growth.
