Abstract

I recently had the opportunity and privilege of attending a rally in Washington, DC, on the West Lawn of the US Capitol. More than 3500 emergency physicians and nurses rallied, urging Congress to “Save our emergency departments” so our patients can continue to have access to care. The American College of Emergency Physicians asked for the support of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) and invited our president, Patricia (Patti) Kunz Howard, PhD, RN, CEN, to speak on the dais. Attendees were requested to wear their uniforms—scrubs and/or white coats.
