Abstract

AbstractThis note investigates a fresh ellipsoid-based interval estimation method integrating peak-to-peak observer design with ellipsoidal techniques. Tight interval estimation results for switched systems in continuous-time cases influenced by unknown but bounded disturbances and noise can be acquired by using the proposed method. First, peak-to-peak performance is used in the design of a robust observer such that it is not sensitive to the system uncertainties. Then, according to the proposed ellipsoid-based method, we can acquire the state interval estimation of the system. Our proposed method introduces a novel robust observer design method and extends ellipsoidal techniques to continuous-time systems. The validity of our method is proved via a numerical example.
