Abstract

This study presents a multiphysics Internal State Variable (ISV) theory that couples the thermo-elasto-viscoplastic-damage model of Bammann with electroplasticity and other electricity-related electromagnetic phenomena. The model framework features internally consistent kinematics, thermodynamics, and kinetics. The abstraction of the developed ISV model can capture the full spectrum of multiphysics electro-mechanical behavior of the nonferromagnetic ductile metals. However, in the absence of electromagnetic fields the model reverts to the existing large deformation Bammann plasticity ISV model with the Horstemeyer damage ISV formalism.
